Coach Sepp Summerer will succeed Christian Hobmeier at TSV Au in the summer - regardless of the league affiliation.
Au/Hallertau
– The coach of the district league club SVA Palzing is hiring for the new season at TSV Au: Sepp Summerer, whose time at SVA ends after six years (we reported), follows Christian Hobmeier at the district league, whose contract has not been extended became.
Whether the successful 66-year-old coach will take over a district league team in the summer will only be decided in the coming weeks: the Hallertau footballers are in the middle of a relegation battle.
"The commitment with us is independent of the league," says TSV department head Stefan Schaipp: "I've known Sepp for a while.
Now the chance arose and we seized it.” Summerer is very impressed by TSV Au and could imagine a commitment after the first concrete talks.
"And after a short period of reflection, he agreed to walk the path together with TSV Au."
No financial madness
Schaipp promises that there will be no financial madness in the Hallertauern, even under the new coach Summerer.
The aim is to continue to develop young talents.
The 66-year-old trainer can do that, as he has often demonstrated.
The team has already been informed about the new addition to the coaching bench for the 2022/23 season and, like the department head, is looking forward to working with Summerer.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
Impressive coaching CV
The 66-year-old is one of the best-known and most successful coaches in the Freising district: At the beginning of his coaching career, he coached TSV Eching (1989 to 1993) and SpVgg Landshut (1993 to 1995) in the Bavarian league.
A league that he knew well from his era as a long-time footballer at FC Bayern Munich II.
During his playing days, Summerer twice led the Bayern amateurs as captain to the final of the German Football Amateur Championship (1983 and 1987).
Other stations as a coach were SE Freising (1997 to 2006), FC Mainburg (2006 to 2009), ETSV 09 Landshut (2009 to 2016) and SVA Palzing (2016 to 2022).
From July, TSV Au will be his new sporting place of work.
There, TSV division boss Schaipp hopes
