The Dutch Football Federation (KNVB) has announced that the former defender will return as Netherlands coach after the World Cup in Qatar at the end of the year.

Koeman will return to a position he already held between 2018 and 2020. The 59-year-old coach then led his selection to the Nations League final.
After two prestigious victories against Germany (3-0) and France (2-0), the Dutch were finally defeated by Portugal in the final (0-1).

On Twitter, he said he was âproud to once again fulfill the role of national coach of the Netherlands.

The Federation has specified that his contract will extend until the 2026 World Cup. Former international, Koeman totaled 78 caps, for 14 goals scored, between 1983 and 1994.
