Sonny Kittel finally made the difference again.
Hamburg – The leading player, who went down in HSV's most recent five-game winning streak, reappeared in the safe 4-0 (2-0) home win over Erzgebirge Aue - and how!
He paved the way for the extremely important threesome for Hamburg.
The 29-year-old prepared the 1-0 to Robert Glatzel's 17th goal of the season with a measured cross (14th minute).
When it was 2-0, he scored his eighth goal of the season with a fluttering free kick from a good 20 meters (45+1).
Even more: With 17 assists, Kittel is the best provider of assists in the 2nd division, in which HSV, now only six points behind the relegation place, used their last chance to return to the Bundesliga this time.

"The only difference to Saturday was our precision in passing and enforcement," said Walter after the Aue game.
