Brooklyn Nets - Cleveland Cavaliers 107: 118
Confirmation of participation in the home games for Kyrie Irving came just in time for the Nets, who overtook their rival tonight in the battle for seventh place in the East, and will secure the home game in a playoff match with them if they beat Indiana in the final game of the regular season.
Brooklyn entered the final quarter five minutes behind, but pressed the pedal in the closing minutes and recorded a third straight win thanks to 36 points from Kevin Durant and 18 from Kyrie, who also delivered eight assists, with Bruce Brown scoring 18 of his own and dropping 10 rebounds.
Darius Garland scored 31 for Cleveland, who will have to beat Milwaukee at home and hope for a Brooklyn stumble to host her in the playoffs.
Detroit Pistons - Milwaukee Bucks 131: 101
After securing second place in the win over Boston, the champion continued the momentum and would secure the Eastern runners-up in the regular season if they beat the Cavaliers in the final game.
Yannis Antocompo dominated with 30 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists, Brock Lopez added 17 and Chris Middleton contributed 15 to Milwaukee, who could face Brooklyn in the first round of the playoffs, in what will be - if and when - a spicy rematch of last year’s regional semifinals.
Rodney McGruder scored 26 points for Detroit, which is already thinking about the upcoming draft.
Toronto Raptors - Houston Rockets 115: 117
The Raptors trailed by 24 points during the first half, but galloped back to a home win over the worst team in the league, with Fred VanAllit absent due to pain in his right knee.
If Philadelphia fails to beat Indiana tonight, Toronto will have a chance to finish fourth in the East.
Pascal Siakam scored 29 for the Canadians, in addition to 12 rebounds and seven assists, with Gary Trent Jr. adding 26 points.
Kevin Porter Jr. provided 35 and 10 rebounds for Houston.
