Habach's coach Markus Vogt had expected a "battle" - and it actually happened in the duel between the regional league soccer team and Bad Kohlgrub.

Habach

– Tobias Radiske writhed on the ground.

He had just collided with Josef Niklas from Bad Kohlgrub.

And while there was a lot of scolding on the pitch – at the referee and the opponent – Markus Vogt clapped his hands.

"I'll do that," the coach of ASV Habach shouted in the direction of the pitch.

The game at the bottom of the district league FC Bad Kohlgrub did not go to his footballers' liking at this point.

It was 2:2, the mandatory win wobbled in the middle of the second half.

But Vogt's words were heard by Maximilian Nebl.

When Radiske got up and the ball rolled again, the goalscorer started, rounded Kohlgrub's keeper and pushed the ball over the line to make it 3:2.

As hectic as things continued after that, Habach's victory was sealed.

"We had expected a battle and that's what it was," said Vogt a few minutes after the final whistle.

Kohlgrub had made it difficult for ASV with will and a robust style of play, courageously stopping many attacks and preventing passes.

"It wasn't playful from us," Vogt admitted.

Habach's Martin Leiß has to leave the field injured in Bad Kohlgrub

One of the few nice moves was seen right at the beginning.

Michael Baumgartner brought the ball in low, Nebl put his foot out – 1:0.

Football can be so simple.

And very painful.

Habachs Martin Leiß found out just a minute later.

He had to leave the field with a sore ankle and was taken to the hospital.

"Doesn't look good," reported Vogt.

It took a few minutes before his team reappeared in the opponent's penalty area.

A Kohlgruber foot scraped Phillip Puchner's header off the line.

Otherwise, the ASV hardly achieved anything compelling.

The now third in the table did not come under pressure against the hitherto harmless hosts.

In the middle of the second half it was hectic in the district league duel

After the break, the game became more hectic, followed by a few fouls and a lot of scolding, but not a lot of nice football.

In the 63rd minute, ASV conceded the equalizer - Dominik Strauss scored in the follow-up.

But Habach had an answer ready: Baumgartner headed in a free kick to take the lead again.

It didn't last long: A few seconds later, referee Matthias Dolderer sent Maximilian Tafertshofer off with yellow-red and awarded Kohlgrub a penalty kick.

Max Meditz converted to 2:2.

The frustration of the Habachers increased.

But then Nebl started his solo run, which ended with the 3:2.

The goal saved three points, but didn't detract from the fact that ASV couldn't convince in Kohlgrub.

"I like to give praise, but you have to talk hard now," announced coach Vogt.

"That must be a wake-up call for us, we will still meet some fighting teams." KATRIN KLEINSCHMIDT
