SC Massenhausen has rejuvenated its board of directors.

The topic of floodlights provided a topic for discussion.

Massenhausen

– The new elections as part of the annual general meeting of SC Massenhausen brought some changes: The members confirmed Walter Pfefferle as chairman.

The new 2nd chairman is Daniel Bachhuber.

The previous vice Markus Kratzl takes over the new post of 3rd chairman.

Martin Bichlmeier and Maximilian Zill now manage the cash register for Josef Dill.

And instead of Theresa Kahlert, Aleksandra Reh is now the secretary.

SCM boss Pfefferle thanked for the excellent cooperation - especially the outgoing treasurer Josef Dill, who had held this office for 43 years.

In his last cash report, Dill was able to announce a surplus of 11,000 euros.

"So we're in the green." But with a view to the rising prices, you can't predict what's to come for the club.

Amendment to the articles of incorporation approved unanimously

The club management had found successors for the new posts in advance, so that everyone was elected without a dissenting vote.

In order to install a 3rd board and a 2nd treasurer, the assembly unanimously approved an amendment to the statutes.

Pfefferle was pleased about the rejuvenation of the board of directors and the club committee: "We are on the right track." Looking back at 2021, he was able to be brief because of the pandemic.

It is very gratifying that the big barbecue on March 20th of this year raised 4,580 euros in donations for the Ukraine aid.

"This action will run until May 8th," reminded the chairman.

The SCM has made some changes to the sports grounds for the future: the playground at the lower end of the area will be equipped with new and additional equipment over the next few months.

The municipality of Neufahrn has already confirmed that they are making these devices available, explained Pfefferle.

"The club has to set it up and anchor it."

LED floodlight system costs 91,000 euros

The desire to install an LED floodlight system on the main soccer field provided a topic for discussion.

An initial rough cost estimate showed that such a system would cost 91,000 euros.

After deducting all funding, the association would receive 45,000 euros.

A sum that, in the eyes of some members, the club treasury could not handle.

They then asked whether the club needed two soccer fields with floodlights at all, because the training ground is already floodlit.

However, the members agreed that the board of directors should get involved in further planning.

If it becomes apparent that the floodlight system can be presented, said Pfefferle, they want to at least submit the applications for the grants in the fall so that they can then finally vote at the 2023 annual general meeting.

In addition, SC Massenhausen wants to build a multi-sports arena on its premises in the near future - i.e. a small all-weather field with two basketball hoops and two small soccer goals - and also a wall on which tennis players can train.

The facility will be built with the support of the community.

Instead of using the term "multisport arena", Pfefferle prefers to speak of a "leisure facility on the SC Massenhausen sports grounds".

"Because it should not only be available to the members, but to all young people."

The sports officer for the municipality of Neufahrn, Manuela Auinger, pointed out the increasing number of refugees from the Ukraine who wanted to do sports in clubs in the future.

A clear case for the SCM: "When refugees come to us, they can use our offer free of charge," stressed Pfefferle.
