A big storm in the world of motor sports took place in Portugal, where a race was held in the European Karting Championships for ages 11-15.

The 15-year-old Russian driver, Artyom Sabryukhin, finished in first place and secured his place on the podium, where he caused a scandal that caused a stir.

As is well known, Russia was suspended from many sports due to the invasion of Ukraine, but Sabriukhin managed to obtain approval and compete under the Italian flag.

On the top of the podium, while the Italian anthem was playing, the driver at 15 touched his chest twice, saluted with a raised hand and began to laugh.

If it is not enough that this is a neo-Nazi and racist movement, then even under Italian law a salute in public has been forbidden for seven decades, which makes the act carried out during the national anthem even more serious.

The driver's mother tried to provide an explanation, which sounded particularly strange and puzzling, that he was "marking hearts towards the family."

It is still unclear how they will act against the Russian, but the International Motor Sport Association has already announced that it has launched an investigation into "Sabriuhin's unacceptable behavior on the podium."

The networks were quick to slam numerous reviews and demanded the driver's suspension.

"I do not want a Nazi to represent my country Italy. I do not want a Nazi in any sport."

"In Russia, if you make a sign of peace you are sent to prison, what will Putin do to him? He will continue to educate him to behave that way."
