Many familiar faces meet in the duel between ASV Dachau and SpVgg Kammerberg.

The SpVgg sees the game against the leader as a bonus.

Kammerberg

– Cooperation is common practice in some sports, such as ice hockey.

In football, too, there are clubs that “park” their players with other clubs so that they can gain match practice there.

At first glance, ASV Dachau and SpVgg Kammerberg also have such a relationship - but there are personal reasons why some footballers and coaches were already active for the other side.

On Tuesday evening there will be a direct duel between the two district league teams in Dachau.

Kick-off is at 6 p.m. (stadium).

ASV Dachau dominates the district league north under coach Haupt

ASV coach Manuel Haupt started his coaching career in Kammerberg and looked after the SpVgg team from 2015 to 2019. At that time he guided Tim Bürchner from ASV Dachau to the game association.

But this change was pure coincidence.

"I didn't know Tim personally, but I observed the situation at the other clubs.

And he was an interesting player," said Haupt.

Both have been with the Dachauers since summer 2021 - and are very successful there.

The relegated dominates the district league north, even if he is just behind TSV Jetzendorf on points.

However, since the ASV has currently played three games less, the team has a significantly better point average.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Koston sees the game as a bonus game: "The ASV has 15.16 people at a high district league level"

The main eleven conceded by far the fewest goals and, despite the fewer games played, scored four more goals than TSV Jetzendorf, who have the second-best offensive in the league.

The fact that Maximilian Bergner and Philipp Schmidt were out for the game against Kammerberg would hit most teams hard - but not ASV.

Matthias Koston, the Kammerberger coach, knows that too: "ASV Dachau not only has eleven good players, but 15 or 16 people at a high regional league level."

He went the other way - from Dachau to Kammerberg.

And he is well networked: It is Koston's credit that co-player coaches Benjamin Hofmann, Patrick Sturm and Niklas Kiermeier, all ex-Dachauer, play for the game association.

Kiermeier in particular is currently shining: the midfielder has scored seven goals in four games since the winter break – Kammerberg has won three of them.

Nevertheless, the SpVgg is stuck on a relegation place.

“We want to change that.

We'll give everything, but see the game as a bonus game.

We have to score points against our direct competitors,” says Koston.
