A record number of Israeli athletes will participate in the World Games Israel today

After completing the criteria, a record number of 52 Israeli athletes will participate in the "World Games", the main event of the non-Olympic competitive sports and held like the Olympics - every four years. 

In the coming year, the Games will be held for the 11th time between July 17-7 and will take place in Birmingham (Alabama), USA. About 3600 athletes who have represented over 100 countries and will compete in 30 different sports. 

In the Thai boxing industry (Muay Thai), Nili Block, one of the most decorated and accomplished athletes in Israel, qualified, and in addition to the block, Itai Gershon also managed to qualify for the World Games and represented Israel.

In the jiu jitsu industry, five Israeli athletes managed to get the entrance ticket, and they are: Meshi Rosenfeld, Roni Nissimian, Vicki Dabush, Nimrod Ryder and Saar Shemesh. 

Guy Firer (Wakeboard), 2017 World Games medalist held in Poland recounts: "2021 was a bit of a weird year without a lot of competitions but with a lot of training and preparation for the 'World Games'. I currently spend most of my time in Orlando preparing for the 'World Games', training On a daily basis, whether it's in the water or out of the water and now I feel it's time to step up a few gears. "

In the kickboxing industry, Or Moshe - the world runner-up, Shir Cohen, Yosef Taktuk and Polina Grossman - qualified.

Maron Weissman and Adi Horowitz are junior runners-up in the doubles category and are part of the acrobatics delegation that qualified for the World Games.

In the climbing industry, the athletes Nimrod Marcus and Ayala Kerem represented Israel.

The trio - Inbal Zeituni, Yarin Ovadia and Meshi Horowitz and the quartet - Amir Daws, Lior Bordin, Tomer Ofir and Chen Benoz from the acrobatics industry. Adi Katz and Daria Atmanov qualified for the artistic gymnastics industry.

In the dance industry, the athletes Liana Odikadze and Alexei Korovchenko also represented Israel.

Another Israeli athlete who qualified for the World Games is Anastasia Kiriliuk from the Voshou industry.

Arik Kaplan, President of the Eilat Association: "These are athletes who worked very hard for a long time, even during the difficult times we went through. They did not give up for a moment and managed to bring honor not only to the Eilat Association but to the whole State of Israel. We are proud of our athletes and appreciate the coaches. Ours and all the officials in the unions and in "Eilat" and intend to continue to lend and give them all the necessary envelope in the next six months until the games and of course in the "world games" themselves.
