While Manchester City drew in England's top flight, Atlético boosted their confidence with a 4-1 win over Deportivo Alavés.

The two Atleti strikers João Félix and Luiz Suárez each scored twice after the Spaniards failed to convince offensively in the first leg against ManCity.
