Head to head
: The two teams have met 64 times with the balance standing at 39-25 in favor of Real.
In the playoff series in the Euroleague, the teams met only once, in 2013, when Real won 0: 3 easily.
Maccabi Tel Aviv won the Euroleague a year later at the expense of Real after a big victory in Milan after extra time, and three years earlier had beaten Real in the semi-finals on the way to a performance in the Final Four.
In the first final between the teams, in 1980, Real achieved the European title with an 85:89 victory.
This season
: In the first round in Madrid, Maccabi Tel Aviv arrived with a certain decline, but not yet at the height of its crisis.
Maccabi managed to escape in the third quarter to a 9-point lead and looked on the way to a sure victory, but the last quarter of only 11 points gave Real the chance to win, and Gershon Yavosla who scored 15 points scored the winning basket on the way to a 70:72 local.
In the second round at the hand of Elijah came revenge.
Real dominated the game, leading by 9 points, five minutes to the end, but then Maccabi woke up and made an amazing turn on the way to a 74:75 victory, with the Blancos getting stuck on only 8 points in the last quarter.
Keenan Evans led the Maccabi scoring with 18 points.

Star
: Walter Eddie Tavares.
The chin from Cape Verde continues to be the most dominant high in the Euroleague with 11.4 points and 7.8 rebounds on average, and Maccabi Tel Aviv will hope to do a good job on it to take the ticket to the Final Four.
Key players
: Gershon Yavosla, who joined from Willerban, grabbed a leading player's box with 11.6 points per game, while Gabi Dek, who recently returned from Oklahoma and recently contributed 10.3 points per game, was also added to the forward line.
American Nigel Goss-Williams and veteran Sergio Yui lead the back line, Alberto Abelada and Rudy Fernandez add from position 3, as do Adam Hanga, Fabian Kozer and Jeffrey Taylor, with the latter two not playing in the loss at Yad Eliyahu.
the coach
: Pablo Lasso.
The 54-year-old Spaniard was a player mainly in Basconia and coached in small teams before surprisingly accepting the appointment to Real in 2011.
He was considered for several years a coach with a strange style, but led the Blancos to two Euroleague wins, two more finals appearances and two more Final Four appearances.
