Exciting swell in Argentina.
Prosecutors investigating the death of Diego Armando Maradona have completed the investigation and are demanding the prosecution of eight doctors accused of negligently causing the death of a former football legend.
According to reports today (Thursday), if charged, the sentence of the eight is expected to be between 8 and 25 years in prison.
Maradona passed away on November 25, 2020 at the age of 60 from a heart attack in Buenos Aires, after undergoing surgery in which edema of his skull was removed.
Initially, the post-mortem determined that the Argentine died of natural circumstances, but a court judge who opened an investigation following pressure from Maradona's children convened a medical committee of experts, who indicated that the medical staff treating him was malfunctioning.
Prosecutors investigating the death of Diego Maradona have requested that eight medical staff go on trial for manslaughter.
If found guilty, they face 8-25 years in prison.

Prosecutors Patricio Ferrari, Cosma Iribaren and Laura Capra, who are in charge of the case, presented an opinion to Judge Orlando Diaz today, in which they believed there was sufficient evidence to judge the eight doctors.
According to prosecutors, the medical staff "were reckless, and a series of omissions led to the fatal outcome, which clearly could have been prevented."
Defendants' attorneys are expected to file an objection to the results of the investigation.
