On the way to staying up in the league, SC Unterpfaffenhofen achieved an extremely important victory at the bottom of the league, SC Pöcking-Possenhofen.

With a 4:1 (2:0), the Upfer Buam remain promising in the race for direct relegation.

Germering

– SCU trainer Franco Simon spoke of a deserved success, but his joy was limited compared to his ex-club, with whom he has a good relationship.

After the avoidable defeat against Wolfratshausen, his team got the three points with a committed performance on the artificial turf pitch in Pöcking.

Simon said he wasn't a fan of early goals after Marco Wirsching made it 1-0 in the 3rd minute.

He described Valentin Batzer's 2-0 lead a minute before the half-time break as a "little door opener".

When Stefan Stojancevic made it 3-0 a few minutes after the restart, the match seemed decided.

However, a completely unnecessary penalty almost brought the bottom of the table back into play.

"Ten minutes later we couldn't have complained if the ref had given us a hand penalty," reported Simon.

"Then it would certainly have been tight again." In the first half, too, the hosts had two or three good chances to score in front of 100 spectators.

"Looking at the 90 minutes, it was a deserved win for us," said the SCU coach.

So far, 2022 has gone well, says Simon.

Hoping for points on Saturday, 3 p.m., at TSV Großhadern, who are also hanging in the table basement.

"It will be very difficult to take something countable there." He also fears the bumpy pitch, which doesn't allow the game to flow properly.

“But if we want to get out there, then we have to score.

We definitely don't want to lose.”

Rotsünder Korbi Meßner returns to the team.

On the other hand, Carlos Mensah, who was sent off against BCF Wolfratshausen, has to watch one more game.

Simon: "If we can build on the first leg against Großhadern, then I won't worry."
