Summary: Maccabi Tel Aviv - Maccabi Haifa 1: 1 (Sport 1)
The Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) has dismissed Steaua Bucharest's appeal regarding Bogdan Planic's release fee.
This means that Maccabi Haifa will not have to pay at all for Planic's move from the Romanian team to Haifa at the beginning of last season.
As you may recall, the brakeman left Steaua following a dispute and claimed that his contract was not valid as it was breached several times by the Romanians.
Bucharest's version, on the other hand, was that Planich was under contract and therefore a particularly high sum was required for his purchase.
Now, after the appeal has been dismissed by the CAS, the matter is finally closed.
