The former striker was invited by the Parisian club to attend the clasico this Sunday, a month after having part of his jaw amputated.

For Parisian fans, Bruno Rodriguez has always been associated with the clasico.

In 1999, his decisive goal at the end of the match in the victory over OM (2-1) ended a decade without success in the league.

The 49-year-old striker (109 goals in 211 games) will be back this Sunday to witness the shock of this day 32nd day (8:45 p.m., Prime Video) but in different circumstances.

In March, in fact, he had to accept the amputation of part of his right leg.

“Following all the infiltrations that I made during my career, the sprains that I had, we tried to repair, more or less, what was possible and it could not be done, he had told to the Republican Lorrain.

But, there, I was in too much pain.

I had no more life.

So we made the decision to cut.

Before returning to the Parc des Princes at the invitation of PSG, Bruno Rodriguez gave his news on the site of his former club: “It's going pretty well.

I heal quite well.

Morally, it's fine.

I received a lot of messages of encouragement, support and it warmed my heart.

It touched me a lot… There were even banners to support me at the Parc des Princes… People don't have to.

And that touches me even more.

And it makes me want to fight even more.

Rodriguez takes the opportunity to return to the 1999 goal and the atmosphere that followed.

"It was just amazing," he recalls.

Exceptional.

I had never experienced such an atmosphere.

I was thrilled.

The Park was on fire.

I keep an unforgettable memory.

Like the memories of former Marseille Jocelyn Angloma, Rodriguez evokes how special the meeting between the two clubs was.

"To prepare for this meeting, we even went to isolate ourselves at Clairefontaine," he recalls.

His emotion should therefore be strong this Sunday evening when he returns to the Porte de Saint-Cloud enclosure.
