Future ahead: The state of contracts at Hapoel Jerusalem Israel today

2022-04-17T06:00:53.215Z

How many faculty players finish a contract? • Who is the only foreigner who holds the contract for next season as well? • And which of the Israelis has an exit clause in the NBA? • Premier League teams are already starting to think ahead, and "Israel Today" with the picture of the Reds from the capital

As it leads the Premier League table and strives to win a championship that will make this season successful after the disappointments in Europe and the Cup, Hapoel Jerusalem is also starting to look towards next season and a commission to build a stronger squad that will meet the club's big goals.

Beyond the issue of the coach (it is still unclear whether Yotam Halperin will continue in his role or return to the role of sports director), the first question is which of the players on the current squad will continue in the Lottery Arena.

Once it is decided who will stay and who will leave, the team management will turn to the player market to bring in worthy replacements in place of those leaving.

Willie Workman and Retin Obasuhan also have a contract for next season, but both the team and the players have the option to release him this summer.

Captain Adam Ariel, Itai Segev and Amit Gershon have a contract for another season, but the team has the option to release the contract by a certain date early in the summer, to leave the players enough time to get organized in finding another team, if it is decided not to keep them.

Ending a contract.

With the exception of Obasohan, all five of Hapoel Jerusalem's foreigners - Suleiman Braimo, Jaylen Adams, John Agbono, Kaiser Gates and K.S. Rivers - are ending their summer contracts, and the team has no extension option in the agreement.

Meaning: If the Reds want to keep some of the foreigners, they have to sit down with them to negotiate to sign a new contract.

Forward Sagiv David, who arrived in the summer as a back-up to Yotam Halperin's Israeli squad, will also end his contract soon.

Will Jerusalem stay at the top?

Hapoel Jerusalem will host Hapoel Haifa tonight (Sunday, 19:30) and will try to continue the momentum from the victory over Hapoel Galil Elyon and maintain the first place in the Premier League.

In the previous round, Yotam Halperin's players lost in Romema, and now they will want to close a small account in front of the home crowd.

Obswan will be out of the game after injuring his hands as a result of a fall in one of the training sessions.

Kaiser Gates, who has not played in recent games, signed up in his place.

The Belgian player is expected to return to action during the week.

Since the victory over Nes Ziona, which actually guaranteed them a place in the top house, Hapoel Haifa looked less good and was defeated twice at home (Maccabi Tel Aviv and Bnei Herzliya).

Rivers vs. Simhon in Romema,

Earlier (17:00) there will be a very important game between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Nes Ziona at the Kvutzat Shlomo Hall. The winner will take a big step to secure seventh place at the end of the regular season.

The good news for the Reds comes from the direction of Jacoben Brown, who has fully recovered from a knee injury and is enrolled in the squad for the first time in about five weeks.

The one left out is the veteran coordinator Paul Stoll, who came to Hapoel Tel Aviv following Brown's injury.
