Jürgen Klopp's analysis after the game developed into a firework display of superlatives.
"Everything was done right", "Enjoy every second", enthused the German team manager of Liverpool FC after the 3: 2 (3: 0) in the semifinals of the FA Cup against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
The team already has the League Cup in its showcase;
in the Premier League they are a point behind the Citizens;
she is favored in the premier class semifinals against Villarreal;
and on May 14 she has a chance to win the FA Cup at the legendary Wembley Stadium.
In theory, the Reds could become the first English team to win all four trophies in one season.
But to do that, Liverpool would probably have to win all the remaining eleven games in 39 days.
"Getting into this final makes the quadruple even more difficult," said Klopp.
It is "very unlikely that we will win everything," he said: "But I don't care, let's try, let's try our luck."
Liverpool had put on an impressive performance against a tired-looking Manchester City.
"The first half was one of the best we've ever played," enthused Klopp: "We did everything right, we scored at the right moments - we were outstanding.
I enjoyed every second.«
Former Leipzig player Ibrahima Konate (9th) and Sadio Mane (18th/45th) made a preliminary decision.
City's rebellion in the second half came too late, and Jack Grealish (47') and Bernardo Silva (90' + 1) did not get more than the goals.
Should Liverpool actually aim for the quadruple success, the team cannot rest for long.
On Tuesday (9 p.m. / Sky) the league will be against Manchester United, who are fighting for a place in the Champions League.
Then it goes on in a three-day rhythm with the city derby against Everton and the premier class duel against Villarreal.
