The playoffs continued, and Miami stormed off its journey tonight (Sunday), defeating Atlanta in the first game of the first round, on a fascinating evening.

Immediately after that came the main dish, as Boston defeated Brooklyn from a basket of victory over Jason Taitum’s buzzer, in a game that promises a lot for the rest of the series.

Even before the start of the game it was clear that this was going to be a fun series, but the first game was beyond expectations: Boston wins thanks to a basket in the last second of C Jason Taitum, who managed to come out as the big hero of the evening with 31 points, despite an impressive performance by Kyrie Irving.



After the teams went down to the break at a 61:61 tie, Boston opened the third quarter with an 8:19 run and went up to 69:80, but the Nets opened the final quarter with a 2:15 run and completed a makeover to go up to 98: 102.

The Celtics scored 5 straight and tied at 107: 107 with 3:16 left to go, but 45 seconds to go Irving set up 111: 114 with a tremendous three.

Taitum finished with 31 points and 8 assists, with a total of four Boston players scoring 20 points or more: Al Horford did an important job under the baskets with 20 points and 15 rebounds (including 6 on offense, which brought in important points), Marcus Smart scored 20 and shared 6 assists (including the winning move, with impressive composure) and Jaylen Brown scored 23. On the



other hand, Irving finished with 39 (12 from 20 from the field, 6 from 10 from three, 9 from 9 from the penalty spot, 6 assists) and gave a good job Also on defense (4 steals and one block), but during the latter he could not stop Taitum, in a game against his former team, on an evening where he again suffered teasing from Celtics fans.

Kevin Durant disappointed despite 23 points, falling with 9 of 24 from the field.

Nick Clasketon scored 13 and input 8 but missed 4 important shots from the line.

They got into a confrontation, one of them came out a winner.

Duncan Robinson set a club record with 8 threes en route to 27 points (9 of 10 from the field, 8 of 9 across the arc), Jimmy Butler scored 21, PJ Tucker scored 16 and Kyle Laurie added 10, and Miami opened the series with a statement and a landslide victory.



Robinson failed to miss, breaking the record set by Damon Jones and Mike Miller (7 threes), while on the other hand Trey Young recorded the worst shooting evening of his career, settling for 1 of 12 from the field.

Young started the game with a lot of energy, and even confronted Butler and clung to his face after a blatant foul, but Butler and his teammates were the ones who recovered quickly, leading at 19 at the break, on the way to an advantage that grew.



Young settled for 8 points with 0-of-7 from the three, Bogdan Bogdanovic missed all 8 of his shots, and without them (and without the injured Clint Capella) the Hawks easily surrendered, with their worst first half of the season (59:40 hit).

At the end of the third quarter the Hawks trailed 86:60, managing to score a point in 36 minutes more than Miami scored in 24.
