After 0: 0 at the end of 120 minutes, the ex-Netanya team defeated Anderlecht in a battle from the penalty spot - and won the fourth cup in its history


At the end of a game that lasted 120 minutes and ended in a 0-0 draw, Ghent defeated Anderlecht today (Monday) in a penalty shootout.

Two Israeli players took part in the game, Lior Rapalov started for Anderlecht and was replaced in the 91st minute, Ghent Younes Melda came off the bench at the beginning of overtime.

Melda wins with Ghent the Belgian Cup in its first season, for this team a fourth title win, the last time they hoisted the Belgian Cup was a decade ago.

Raphaelov missed an opportunity to win the Belgian Cup for the third time, in his fourth appearance in the final game.

In August 2020, the midfielder scored the winning goal in the Cup final and awarded Antwerp the title for the third time in the club's history.

In 2015, Raphaelov won the trophy with Club Brugge.
