A new storm surrounds the Barcelona football team, and this time it is centered on veteran stopper Gerard Pique, who according to the newspaper Al Confidential, was involved in the transfer of the Spanish Super Cup to Saudi Arabia, for which he received a fat commission.
According to the report, the president of the Spanish Football Association, Luis Rubiales, promised Pique a total of 24 million euros, for a period of four years - 6 million euros a year - for his contribution to moving the factory.
Rubiales confirmed that LaPika played an important part in the deal, which brings in a huge sum for the Spanish association, and that already in 2018 the brake offered to expand the factory and add the semi-final stage.
Rubials.
Did not want to miss the big deal,
Initially the proposal was for the plant to be worn at the Santiago Bernabeu or New Camp, until Saudi Arabia entered the picture, when Pique served as a broker through a private company he owned.
Talks between Pika and Rubials were leaked to the media and in one of them the player made it clear to the president of the association that the Saudis tend to pay only to the association and Rubials, and that for him it is not fair: "They have to pay us all".
At this point, Rubiales, who did not want to miss the huge deal, decided on the million-dollar commission that, as mentioned, would bring Pika 6 million euros a year for a period of four years.
