Hapoel Haifa coach Elisha Levy is expected to end his role at the end of the season after the failure in the league and the relegation in the Cup semi-final tonight (Tuesday).
The candidates to replace him are Slobodan Drapic and Marco Belbul.
Owner Yoav Katz landed in Israel yesterday and is expected to meet with the two coaches and decide which of them will guide his team next season.
The pressure to fire Elisha Levy has been great in recent months.
But after advancing to the semifinals, Katz decided that he would continue with him at least until the summer.
In conversations with him, it was clarified that there is no intention to carry out a shock.
But now that the season has finally been crowned a failure, Katz and Levy will part ways in a dignified manner in the summer.
It is important to note that informal talks with Belbul and Drapich have already taken place and they have expressed a willingness to coach Hapoel Haifa next season.
Drapich will end his position at Kash in a little over a month, while Belbul left the Israeli team about a month ago and is interested in coaching a team next season. A final decision will be made soon, by Yoav Katz.
