Türkgücü Munich is pushing into the regional league.

And that's exactly where Alper Kayabunar is drawn to.

However, the guarantee of success does not necessarily remain with his heart club.

Munich – Alper Kayabunar is only 36 years old, but it seems that he has already experienced a lot.

At Türkgücü Munich he was a player in the A-class and in the national league on the pitch.

As a coach, assistant coach and video analyst, he accompanied the club from the state league to professional football.

So Kayabunar has already earned the label as a veteran at Türkgücü.

And while the professional team began to struggle in the first year in the third division, success remained true to him.

Kayabunar took over the Perlacher A-Juniors and marched with them from the district to the state league.

Is Türkgücü Munich losing its guarantee of success?

Alper Kayabunar is thinking of saying goodbye in summer

After Peter Hyballa's exit, Türkgücü still relied on Alper Kayabunar.

As an interim coach, he even took on more games than allowed.

It was worth paying a fine to the DFB for the club to go into the basement duel with Kayabunar against SC Verl.

Andreas Heraf came after the winter break.

And the big break.

Sportingly and financially.

Türkgücü had to file for bankruptcy.

Heraf banned Kayabunar from the pro coaching staff.

To this day nobody really knows why, not even Kayabunar himself. In any case, it was a hard blow for the Türkgücü veteran.

He spoke for the first time of farewell thoughts.

That could become a reality in the summer.

Türkgücü Munich seems to be able to avert the complete shipwreck at the moment, but even if the restart in the regional league succeeds, Kayabunar's whereabouts are not decided.

Alper Kayabunar: Türkgücü veteran makes A license - and is in talks with regional league clubs

At least they have one goal in common: Alper Kayabunar has registered for the A license.

From now on he can work as a head coach in the regional league.

But it doesn't have to be the boss.

"I'm currently in contact with several clubs about a coaching position," says Kayabunar when asked by Fußball Vorort/FuPa Oberbayern, "a club wants me as an assistant coach.

This is very interesting.

The club works under professional conditions.

I'm open to many things, for example a high-class U19.

As long as the circumstances are right.”

Assistant coach at Türkgücü is out of the question: Alper Kayabuner only goes to the regional league as a boss

Of course, Kayabunar is still very close to Türkgücü.

And vice versa: “There have already been discussions internally,” he confirms.

So the bedrock could stay after all.

However, under one clear condition.

"I'm already considering whether it's time to leave the club at some point.

But if you get the opportunity to become head coach in the regional league at your heart club, then that's something special," Kayabunar muses and makes it clear: "But staying with Türkgücü as an assistant coach is not a discussion.

And Türkgücü is not the only option I have.”
