SC Oberweikertshofen underpinned its ambitions for the championship title with a 6-1 thrashing victory in the away game in Großhadern on Tuesday evening.

Maxi Schuch alone contributed three goals.

– Beits at the break was the victory in front of 100 spectators with a score of 4:1 in dry cloths.

The three-time goal scorer Maxi Schuch celebrated as the match winner.

The other goals, in addition to an own goal by the hosts, contributed Marwane Gobitaka and Dominik Danowski.

With a total of 15 unbeaten games, including five wins in a row, coach Günter Bayer's team can only bring themselves the championship and thus their return to the state league.

On Tuesday evening, SpVgg Haidhausen replaced VfL Denklingen as Weikertshofen's closest pursuers - although both SCO and Haidhausen played one game more than Denklingen.

Bayer was satisfied with the game in Großhadern up to the first few minutes.

"It's just annoying when you warn about the set pieces in advance and then have to accept a header after a free kick," said Bayer.

However, his eleven quickly coped with the deficit and then made the decision within ten minutes with four goals.

"Although I attribute the 2-1 score given in the match report as the Haderer own goal with my SCO eye Lukas Kopyciok," added Bayer.

In the second 45 minutes, Weikertshofen fully controlled the game and watched for chances that then resulted in two more goals.

"The performance was very enjoyable and clever," said Bayer, who, however, had to complain about two injured players in Emrah Celebic and Kopyciok.

"Celebic is probably out with a torn muscle fiber and Kopyciok still has breathing problems after Corona." Due to the large squad, the team can probably compensate for the loss, but for him as coach there are still two important regular players.
