With five rounds remaining at the end of the Football Premier League, the competition for the title continues on the one hand, and the escape from the last four positions on the standings list on the other hand, which will place its owners in the first division at the end of the second leg.

In the twenty-second round of the competition, Tishreen, the leader, meets Jableh in the Lattakia derby on the grounds of the Al-Baath Stadium in Jableh. Despite the difficulty of the match, Tishreen seeks to continue collecting points to move away from the lead that it sits on with 53 points, 8 points behind its closest pursuers, Al Wathba.

Tishreen coach, Tariq Jaban, did not hide the difficulty of the match. He said in a statement to SANA, "The Jableh team has performed well in the last matches and aspires to improve its position. On the other hand, our team is preparing well for the match, and it is technically and physically ready and will do its utmost to get the valuable points."

From the police gate, Al-Wathba seeks to return to the path of victories to reduce the difference to remain within the competition for the title, waiting for the leader to stumble in the remaining rounds of the league, while the 12th police aspire to achieve a victory that earns points to move away from the teams in the rear that are threatened with relegation.

Al-Wathba coach Ammar Al-Shamali indicated that the team seeks to improve its performance to achieve victory, especially after its departure from the lead, indicating that his team will play a difficult match, as the opponent has good technical elements and is also trying to grab the three points.

Al-Tale’a and the Norias will play two important matches in this round. The first will face Al-Karama team on the municipal stadium in Hama at ten at night under the floodlights, while the Norias will meet Al-Harjala on the grounds of Al-Fayhaa Stadium in Damascus.

Al-Tale’a coach Firas Qashoush explained that his team will enter the match with Al-Karama with the slogan of victory in order to compensate for the previous loss against Tishreen in the last round and enter the golden square again, noting that the team is performing well this season and therefore deserves to be among the top four.

For his part, Al-Nawa’ir coach Yasser Al-Bunni indicated that his team’s match with Hargla is crucial, as winning it is important to maintain our hope of staying in the Premier League, especially that its points are doubled, adding that the victory that his team achieved over Al-Wathba in the last round gave him confidence and hope to achieve good results in the remaining matches of this season.

At Al-Basel Stadium in Lattakia, Hittin meets Al-Ittihad Ahli Aleppo, where Hittin coach Ahmed Hawash expressed the importance of the match and its valuable points for his team, especially that his team occupies the tenth place and thus progress in the standings, relying on the substitute players to compensate for the absences and injuries of a number of key players.

In this round, Al-Wehda will meet with the Army at Al-Jalaa Stadium in Damascus, and Afrin will meet with Al-Fatwa at the Seventh of April Stadium in Aleppo.

Tishreen leads the standings with 53 points, followed by Al Wathba with 45 points, Al Jaish 41 points, Al Wahda 32 points, Al Taliah 31 points, Jableh 30 points, Ahli Aleppo and Al Fatwa 29 points, Al Karama 2 points, Hittin 24 points, Al Harjala 21 points, Police 20 points, Al Nawa`ir 13 points, and Afrin 4 points.
