Due to the weather, the Baldhamer Baeballers will not start their round of points until this weekend.
A home game brace against the Füssen Royal Bavarians is on the program.
Baldham
– The Baldham baseball players actually wanted to have their first points in their account before Easter.
But it wasn't just them who were thwarted by the weather at the planned start of the season.
But now the time has come: On Sunday, April 24, 12 noon, the Boars will start in the 2nd Bundesliga South.
Opponents on home ground on the B304 will be the Füssen Royal Bavarins team.
A first position determination for a round, at the end of which there should be a return to the elite league.
Three preparatory games were played and Boars chairman John Fürböck is certain despite the postponed start of the season: "All the players are fit and the team is really looking forward to the start of the season."
The Baldhamers did not remain idle during the forced break.
“We put out feelers and used two Garching Atomics home games to get a better picture of the Stuttgart Reds and Heidenheim Heideköpfe,” reveals the Boars boss.
After all, it is something else to be able to get an idea of the potential of the teams.
"That's far more instructive than reading the game statistics," says Fürböck.
He awaits an uncomfortable opponent in Baldham at the feet of Royal Bavarians, who strengthened his squad during the previous off-season.
"The first game will definitely be a very early and important determination of the position of both teams," says John Fürböck.
