1 –

Winner of the Coupe de France last season, Mauricio Pochettino joins the (small) family of champion coaches with Paris, after Gérard Houllier (1986), Artur Jorge (1994), Carlo Ancelotti (2013), Laurent Blanc (2014 to 2016), Unai Emery (2018) and Thomas Tuchel (2019 and 2020).

A title he had not won in two and a half years at PSG as a player and captain, from January 2001 to the summer of 2003.

1 –

Since the start of the Qatari era, Paris Saint-Germain have never gone more than a season without winning the French championship.

Monaco (2017) and Lille (2021) interrupted the hegemony of Paris, Montpellier (2012) having first delayed the start of the harvest of the capital club.

The record series of OL, champion seven times in a row from 2002 to 2008, is however not about to be beaten by Paris-SG…

3 –

Winner of their first eight matches of the season in Ligue 1, PSG took control of the standings on the third day and therefore quickly killed the suspense, while their supposed rivals all failed by alternating the good and the less good during the 2021-22 campaign.

Alone in the world.

4 -

PSG have already lost four times in Ligue 1 in 2021-22.

Less well than during six of his first nine coronations (3 in 1994, 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2020, 2 in 2016).

8 –

This is the number of national titles on the list of Marco Verratti, now the most successful player in the history of the French championship ahead of former Stéphanois Jean-Michel Larqué and Hervé Revelli, ex-Lyonnais Grégory Coupet, Sidney Govou and Juninho and his former Paris teammate Thiago Silva.

Recruited in 2013, Marquinhos joins all this beautiful little world with seven titles of champion of France.

10 –

With their tenth league title, PSG equals the national record so far held by AS Saint-Etienne, ahead of OM (9), Nantes, Monaco (8), Lyon (7), Reims and Bordeaux (6).

36 –

PSG strongman throughout the season, Kylian Mbappé, directly involved in 36 goals in Ligue 1, is currently leading the ranking of top scorers (22) and assists (14).

So far, no player has won both awards in the same year.

Mbappé, first?

Note that Bondy's crack could do even stronger by adding a third title of best player in the French championship to his list, the third in a row after 2019 and 2021 (not awarded in 2020, editor's note), thus equaling the record of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, it is not clear how this trophy could escape him as “KM” flew over the debates…

48 –

If he is still far from the Marseille record, 71 seasons in the elite, the young Paris-SG is living his 48th campaign in a row in Ligue 1 since his last promotion, in 1974, four years after its creation in 1970. It's a record.

The second oldest club in L1 is Olympique Lyonnais, promoted in 1989.

113 -

With 113 goals, Kylian Mbappé has established himself as the second best Parisian scorer in Ligue 1, tied with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Edinson Cavani is alone in the lead (138).

Remember that Mbappé is only ahead of the Matador in the ranking of PSG's top scorers in all competitions, with 200 goals against 163.
