David Alaba can imagine returning to his former club - but his contract with Real Madrid runs until 2026. The Austrian gives an insight into his thoughts.

As a child he played for Austria Vienna, in the summer of 2008 he switched to FC Bayern Munich.
Alaba spent 13 years at Bayern, shaped an era.
"He played there for 13 years and it was always an important part of Bayern Munich's DNA," revealed Karl-Heinz Rummenigge after the move to Real Madrid.
The Austrian took over number four from club legend Sergio Ramos at Real.
The 29-year-old coped well with the resulting pressure and was able to convince with a few exceptions.
Alaba on returning to ex-club Austria Wien: "That would certainly be nice and cool"
Alaba's contract with Real Madrid runs until 2026, so his latest statements on
Sky Sports Austria are surprising.
Because he is obviously toying with the idea of a comeback to his former club!
No, dear Bayern fans, it's not about the German record champions.
Rather, the ÖFB star is apparently thinking about the Austrian Bundesliga!
"That would be nice and cool.
Vienna is the city where I am at home.
I have my family there, my friends, I grew up there.
Let's see what the future will bring," Alaba replied when asked if he could imagine returning to Austria Wien.
So will there soon be a sensational transfer from Real Madrid to Austria Vienna?
Alaba on the differences to FC Bayern: "It might be a bit more emotional here"
It won't be that quick.
Alaba feels comfortable at Real Madrid.
"This club is huge and you can tell how radiant Real Madrid is," enthuses the defender about his new club.
The central defender notices a difference to FC Bayern among the fans.
"It's maybe a bit more emotional here.
When I walk through the city without a cap, sunglasses and mask, it becomes even more difficult than in Munich ,

Alaba explained.
He also sees differences in sport and is surprised by the strong teams in La Liga.
"You think you're Real Madrid and you're going to Levante or Alavés and they're going to bunker.
The opposite is the case because everyone is playing from behind,” Alaba marvels.
Real Madrid can only theoretically win the Spanish championship, with five games remaining, Real Madrid have a 15-point lead over FC Barcelona.
In the semi-finals of the Champions League, Manchester City are waiting for Alaba and his colleagues after Chelsea were defeated in the quarter-finals.
