The champion moves on.
Milwaukee defeated Chicago 100-116 tonight (Wednesday-Thursday) and knocked it out of the NBA Playoffs with a big 1-4 overall.
Who also later joined the semifinals (in the West) is Golden State, which completed its own 1: 4 against Denver.
Milwaukee - Chicago 100: 116
The first series in the NBA East playoff semifinals was completed tonight, when Milwaukee completed a big 1: 4 over Chicago and set up a fascinating encounter against Boston (which swept Brooklyn) in the next round.
The Bulls, who had to make do without the isolated Zack Lavin, experienced in the flesh another great play by Yannis Antokompo.
Last season’s Finals Series MVP finished with 33 points on 73 percent from the field, to which he added 9 rebounds.
Already in the opening the "Greek Freak" flew into the ring and it was actually the opening signal of a one-sided game.
By the end of the first quarter the difference was already 16 for the champion, which increased it to 18 in the half and closed interest in the third quarter.
Io Dosumo further shrunk for the Bulls to 11 after the break but two Fortis threes on the other side within about half a minute set up what was already clear from the start.
Giannis keeps scoring efficiently.
