Bavarian league club VfB Hallbergmoos is a guest at the "lucky bag" FC Ingolstadt II on Friday. The good news for the offensive: Simon Werner is back on board.

Hallbergmoos

– With the draw against Ismaning, VfB Hallbergmoos was the big loser of the last match day because almost all teams in the table basement won.

As a result, the team is penultimate to FC Ingolstadt II (Friday, 6 p.m.) and is under a lot of pressure.

The Hallbergmoosers still have 360 Bayernliga minutes to fight for a relegation spot.

And it is particularly bitter that with Wasserburg (a point ahead) there is currently only one club within reach.

It's already five points away from Dachau.

Now it's off to the top team Ingolstadt II, which surprisingly lost to VfB competitor TSV Wasserburg on Friday.

New situation at FC Ingolstadt

Ascension relegation has been done for the Ingolstadt reserve because they are not allowed to be promoted to the regional league due to the relegation of the first to the 3rd league.

Despite this new situation, VfB coach Matthias Strohmaier does not expect an opponent who will let himself down.

However, it is unclear whether the best talents in the U23s will now be tested in the first team with a view to next season.

So Ingolstadt II could be a real grab bag.

Basically, however, coach Strohmaier expects a young and strong team, where you may have to live with a point.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

At least there are more alternatives on the Hallbergmooser side: Simon Werner is available again for the offensive – and with a view to the defense, Strohmaier is pondering whether he should set himself up.

The coach has a small luxury problem, as Christoph Mömkes shows strong performances in central defence.

"The ten goals we conceded in the 14 games in the second half of the season are still the record of a championship candidate," says Strohmaier.

Hallberger offensive problems

In his eyes, the big problem is the lack of effectiveness in front of the opposing goal for the Bayernliga.

"It's always the same: we don't reward each other," says the VfB coach.

Of course, the 0-0 draw against Ismaning was lucky in the end, but VfB had three hundred percent chances in the first half.

For the Ingolstadt game, the storming triumvirate with Simon Werner, Kaan Aygün and Fabian Diranko is conceivable - and Daniel Bauer, who was last used on October 30th, should also be back in the VfB Hallbergmoos squad.

He could later come into play as a joker.

The games at the season finale would be a good time for the 23-year-old to score the first Bayernliga goal of his career.

Possible lineup:

VfB Hallbergmoos:

Dinkel - Petschner, Mömkes (Strohmaier), Giglberger, Schmit (Mömkes) - Kostorz, Beetz, Sahin - Werner (Küttner), Aygün - Diranko.
