Basketball, handball, volleyball, rugby… “Le Parisien” has been offering for several weeks and before each weekend a selection of issues and events not to be missed in Île-de-France.

Overview.

The poster for the weekend: a hell of a derby between Boulogne-Levallois and Nanterre

BASKETBALL.

A Parisian derby in the elite is bound to make you salivate.

That of this Friday will be no exception to the rule, even if the stakes are not the same for the two clubs which find themselves face-to-face this Friday.

Leader of Betclic Elite, Boulogne-Levallois, in the fight with Monaco and Asvel, has been following a very high level rhythm since the start of the season.

It remains to be seen whether the Metropolitans have recovered from their defeat this Wednesday in Valencia in the quarter-finals of the EuroCup

For its part, Nanterre is fighting to finish among the eight best at the end of the regular season, and thus participate in the play-offs.

Currently 9th just behind Le Mans, the players of Pascal Donnadieu must absolutely erase from their memory the beating inflicted at home by their neighbor in the first leg (76-104).

It will always be without its point guard, Nick Johnson.

Injured, the 29-year-old American saw his season end ten days ago.

The attraction: Paris Basketball is having its Africa Game

This Sunday, at 3 p.m., Paris welcomes Orléans to the Halle Carpentier.

Just before, an event match on the Africa Game theme is announced, in a day combining entertainment, information and promotion of basketball in Africa.

From 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., echoing the first NBA game to take place on African soil in 2015, a gala match will see two teams of personalities compete against each other: Team Africa, led by Jok'Air, rapper and emblematic figure of Paris Basketball, and the Rest of the World Team of Kévin Seraphin, the former Washington Wizards player.

On each ticket sold for the gala match, €1 will be donated to the association “Enfants du Benin Debout”, an association under the law of 1901 which works in Benin for education and personal development through basketball.

The event: the prodigy of the gym Astria Nelo in front of her public

GYMNASTIC.

After two years of lack due to the health crisis, the girls of Meaux will be able to find their supporters.

This Saturday (4 p.m.) at the Frank-Leboeuf gymnasium, the protégés of Patrick Andréani will challenge Colomiers during the 2nd day of the Top 12, the highest national division.

After their easy victory (36-12) in Rouen, the Meldoises hope to continue.

For this, they can count on Marine Boyer, who resumed training at the start of 2022, after a break following her participation in the Tokyo Olympics last summer.

Spectators will also have the opportunity to discover the future prodigy of French gymnastics, the very young Astria Nelo (12 years old).

Last weekend, during her first international match in Budapest (Hungary), the native of Chelles won three silver medals in the vault, the uneven bars and especially in the all-around.

Salsabil Tounan, Cypriane Pilloy and Lucie Henna complete the Seine-et-Marnais group.

The usual meeting: Sénart goes to the Semi

ROAD RACING.

For 19 years, the Sénart Marathon has punctuated this place every May 1st, between Combs-la-Ville (Seine-et-Marne) and Tigery (Essonne).

Tens of thousands of courageous people have faced the wind blowing in the plains there, and it even served as a support for the French championships in 2008. This year, if the date remains unchanged, the format changes for a half-marathon according to wish. organizers of the Grand Paris Sud conurbation.

The new format has been thought out and developed with the help of associations, volunteers and runners, in order to make it an event for as many people as possible: more comfortable facilities for runners, and a departure village (9:30 a.m.) and arrival at the Carré Sénart, which will highlight sports and health, adapted sports and mixed sports.

Competitors will receive, in addition to a medal, a sprig of lily of the valley to celebrate May 1 and the emblematic bottle of apple juice produced by the Servigny harvest.

A 10 km is also on the program (9h15).
