Merkur CUP: Polling hosts the preliminary round

In 2020 and 2021, the Merkur CUP, the world's largest tournament of its kind for E-Juniors, unfortunately had to be canceled due to the corona pandemic.

But now it starts again.

Teams compete in the entire circulation area of “Münchner Merkur” and its home newspapers.

The preliminary rounds and the district finals lead to the district final tournaments.

The grand finale of the eight best teams from the entire "Merkur-Land" will take place on July 16 in the SpVgg Unterhaching sports park.

As usual, a special rule applies to the Merkur CUP: Anyone who scores three or more goals in a game gets an extra point (regardless of the outcome of the game).

Example: Team X wins 5:3 against Team Y. Team X thus gets four points, Team Y one point.
