Raz Hershko and Inbar Lanir will also participate tomorrow in the last day of the championship fights.

Judge Peter Plachik will try tomorrow (Sunday) to get another medal for the Israeli delegation at the European Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, when he competes in the weight category up to 100 kg.

The 30-year-old Palchik, a bronze medalist in the team competition at the Tokyo Olympics, knows the class well after winning the gold medal two years ago at a competition held in Prague, and in 2018, in front of a home crowd while wearing the bronze medal around his neck.

Last year in Lisbon he did a little less, when he was already eliminated in the second battle, and the fifth ranked in the world will want to add to his rich resume, the third medal in the most important continental competition of all.

Plačik will start directly in the second round because of his high world rankings, waiting to see who his opponent will be, in the battle between the Croatian Zeltarko Komaric (26th in the world) and the Hungarian Zemberg Vogue.

Since the Tokyo Olympics last summer, the men's team has been under-competing, with Placzyk participating in the Prizmanu Grand Slam coming out with the silver medal, and the Tel Aviv Grand Slam immediately following which he finished in third place.

Roy Sivan (up to 90 kg) will compete tomorrow, who entered the competition at the last minute after Shelly Kochman, the competitor in this weight class, was not eligible, and he received a difficult draw when already in the first fight a bronze medalist from Tokyo, the Hungarian Christian Tot.

The Israeli delegation in the championship will be locked by Inbar Lanir (up to 78 kg), the silver medalist from Grand Slam Baku who will start directly in the second round, and Raz Hershko (over 78 kg) this year's Grand Slam Antalya, who will go on the mat first against Croatian Tina Rudic.
