Arrival of the fifth:
20 - 1 - 4 - 19 - 12
The quinté of the day was set at the Auteuil racecourse.
Labeled Group III, the Grande Course de Haies de Printemps, sponsored by our title, was one of the fifteen races on the program and pitted twenty jumpers, aged 5 to 11, on the 4300 meter course.
Victory went to
Henri le Farceur
(n°20) at 27/1.
This 5-year-old gelding enjoyed a good run before gradually closing in on the last bend and easily creating the decision on the flat.
The smallest weight in the race won by a length and a half and gave his trainer, Hugo Merienne a first victory on the Mortemart hill.
He was associated with Nicolas Gauffenic who won his second quinté of the week after his victory last Tuesday at Compiègne with
Le Garlaban:
“I had a clear race, underlines the jockey.
I had a lot of resources over the last hurdle and he proved to be a fighter in the final phase.
His trainer Hugo Merienne told me this winter in Cagnes-sur-Mer that I was going to win the Grande Course de Haies de Printemps.
He was not mistaken.
Kudos to him.

The favorite
Super Alex
(n°1) still behaved remarkably despite his 70 kg.
He repeated his excellent comeback on April 9, taking another second place and just ahead of
Folly Foot
(No. 4).
This representative of Pascal Adda and François Renaut put on a good face until the end after having constantly galloped close to the leaders
.
Quickly in good standing,
Golden Witch
(n°19) took fourth place and was ahead
of Gentleman d'Athon
(n°12) who completed the arrival of the quinté.
