Munich/London – Boris Becker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison this Friday (April 29) for delaying bankruptcy.

According to media reports, the tennis legend was visibly shocked by the verdict at Southwark Crown Court in London.

According to judge Deborah Taylor, Becker has not shown any remorse or humility.

Theoretically, he can still appeal.

According to ARD, experts judge an appeal to be without a chance.

He could choose to appeal his conviction or the length of his sentence, or both.

However, he must remain in custody during the possible appeal process.

“You can try it within 28 days.

But as soon as the sentence is more than two years, as here, it is very unlikely," the "Tagesschau" quoted lawyer Jeremy Boyle as saying.
