After Timna Nelson Levy's gold medal and bronze medals by Shira Rishoni and Gili Sharir, the European Judo Championships ended today (Sunday) with a silver medal by Raz Hershko.
The Israeli delegation equaled its record with four medals in total (as in 2012 and 2018), although this is the first time that all four come from one team - of the women.

A great achievement for Raz Hershko, who after five medals in the last six competitions in which she participated, reached the final of the European Championship and picked up the silver medal. The 30-year-old judoka started the road with a hard-fought victory in the quarter-finals over Zeltko Komaric, but succumbed in the quarter-finals to Dutchman Catherine Catherine.
He fell to the consolation house from which he could still reach the podium and win a bronze, but lost to Azeri Elmar Gasimov and was ousted.
