Mino Raiola is dead. Football players, clubs and officials paid tribute to the influential and notorious advisor to stars like Zlatan Ibrahimović, Paul Pogba, Mario Balotelli and Erling Haaland.

"Football loses the emperor of football transfers, one of the most powerful, richest and most controversial football managers in the world," was the headline in Italy's Corriere della Sera.

"Raiola, who started out as a pizzeria in the Netherlands, invented the phenomenon of top players who got richer with every change of club," wrote the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"The best," wrote Dortmund's striker Haaland on his Instagram account for a picture that shows him together with the Italian.

Alf-Inge Haaland, father of the courted striker, described Raiola as the best football manager ever.

British media recently reported on an agreement between the 21-year-old and English champions Manchester City.

Gianluigi Donnarumma wrote: "I'm so sad that I don't even know if I can say everything I want to say," said the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper.

Hirving Lozano also mourns "one of my great teachers in the world of football," as the Napoli striker writes.
