An era is coming to an end: after this season, Anton Plattner will be joining the district football club SV Dornach, thus concluding his 45-year career as a coach.

Dornach

– An era is coming to an end: After this season, Anton Plattner will be joining the district football club SV Dornach, concluding his 45-year career as a coach.

His eleven scored an important point with the 2: 2 (1: 1) at SpVgg Kammerberg after three bankruptcies in a row.

When the SV Dornach players lined up for their away game in Kammerberg on Saturday, they already knew: Anton Plattner will only be their coach until the end of this season - and will no longer be on the sidelines in the future.

"I promised my wife, and as of now it's staying that way," said the 73-year-old, who started as a player-coach at TSV Eching in June 1977 and became a coaching legend in the district.

After a “nerve-wracking and exhausting” two years in the corona pandemic, Plattner explained that he had now sought to speak to the club’s new board of directors and informed them about his plans.

SV Dornach is reorganizing its management team

The thorns lined up differently on Friday: Peter Aicher (previously sponsors and media) replaces Gerhard Vodermeier as 1st board member, Florian Ofenstein takes over the office of the previous 2nd board member Klaus Zornek, who was also the head of the football department.

This office is now held by the 3rd board member René Reiter, who is part of the first team under Plattner.

"At the moment I'm really happy that I'm getting out of there," emphasized Plattner, who recently wasn't involved in the personnel planning for the next season.

2:2 draw is an important step towards staying up

His team still has to collect the points they need to stay up in the league and made an important step with the 2-2 (1-1) win at SpVgg Kammerberg.

"In the end we have to be satisfied with the draw," said Plattner, who saw a weak start and a weak final phase for his protégés.

They were surprised by the opponent when it was 0-1: Thomas Nefzger fell 20 meters diagonally from the goal after a collision, then got back up and hit the SV defense who were waiting for a whistle (14th).

Matthias Regiert equalized for the guests shortly before the break (45th), Dominik Goßner then scored after the change, just as happy as the Kammerbergers in their lead with an arc lamp to make it 2-1 (48th).

A penalty kick that was unjustified from Plattner's point of view (“René Reiter didn't hit his opponent at all”) led to the Kammerberger equalizer – Niklas Kiermeier scored from the point (60th).

SpVgg Kammerberg - SV Dornach 2: 2 (1: 1).

SV Dornach: Dörsch - Wanzinger, Leidecker / (71st Akbulut), Soheili, Reiter - Partenfelder, Goßner, ruled (71st Tokoro), Buck - Ring - Amadodin.

Goals: 1: 0 T. Nefzger (14th), 1: 1 Governed (45th), 1: 2 Goßner (48th), 2: 2 Kiermeier (60th, penalty kick).
