Top scorer in club history

The French international (36 caps, 7 goals) had already been top scorer in the 2016 closing (13 goals) and 2018 opening (14 goals) tournaments.

The opening and closing tournaments are the biannual tournaments of the Mexican Championship which result in titles.

Since his arrival in Mexican football during the 2015 opening tournament, Gignac has scored 164 goals, and is the top scorer in the history of the Tigres.

With the Tigers, he won the 2020 Concacaf Champions League, as well as the opening tournament of the Mexican championship in 2015, 2016 and 2017, the closing tournament in 2019 and the Mexican Supercup in 2017 and 2018.
