Boris Becker's mother Elvira Pisch is afraid of never seeing her son again.
She is already 86 years old - and devastated by the verdict.
London/Munich – Judge Deborah Taylor sentenced Boris Becker to two and a half years in prison for delaying bankruptcy.
Not only does his daughter Anna Ermakova suffer with him, but also his 86-year-old mother Elvira Pisch.
Despite all the reports in advance that thought a prison sentence was likely: the arrest of her son is said to have ripped the rug out from under Pisch's feet.
Boris Becker: How did his mother experience the process?
Pisch followed the developments every day.
Radio, teletext, newspapers.
In her house in Leimen she kept herself up to date and waited every day with great anxiety.
In addition, she is said to have spent a lot of time with old video cassettes and photos of her son.
"I'm a little afraid of what's to come.
Let's see how the verdict turns out..." she explained to the
BILD
newspaper in advance.
It got out that Elvira hardly got any sleep because she was worried about a guilty verdict.
But the hope of an acquittal was always there.
“My son calls me more often.
He calms me down.” Otherwise, she doesn't need moral support.

Boris Becker: How does his mother react to the verdict?
Pisch isolated himself after the guilty verdict.
A world collapsed for her.
"She's crying, she's desperate.
The worry of losing her house no longer matters.
Now she's just afraid that she'll never see her Boris again – at her age you never know what's going to happen,” the
BILD
newspaper claims to have learned from her friends.
Pisch declined an invitation to dinner.
“The punishment knocked the ground out from under Elvira.
Boris wanted to visit her as soon as the trial is over.
Now he's in prison," the friends say.
Allegedly, Pisch thinks she's too old for a flight to London, but maybe her longing is still too great in the end.
In any case, a possible appeal has little chance of success.
