The weeks of truth are running for SVA Palzing.

After the 2:2 against Kasing, the game against Alte Haide is the next relegation hit.

Palzing

– Since the winter break, the SVA Palzing footballers have only had “finals”.

The twelfth place in the North District League is in practice when he welcomes FC Alte Haide-DSC Munich on Wednesday evening (7.30 p.m.) for the provisional highlight of his remaining program.

"Scoring points against direct competitors would of course be super important," says Sepp Summerer, Palzinger's coach.

He builds on the good record against opponents from the table environment.

The SVA has a frightening success rate against the best teams in the league: The Ampertalers only got one point in their eleven games against the top six in the district league, and this against leaders ASV Dachau of all places.

The record against the teams from seventh place down is much better: Thanks to these 20 out of a possible 42 points, Sepp Summerer's team has a chance of staying up in the league.

A direct comparison is also an issue

Last Friday, SVA Palzing played 2-2 against SV Kasing, a direct competitor in the race for the last relegation place.

Like Kasing, Summerer and his men now want to keep FC Alte Haide at least at a distance and ideally shake them off.

The direct comparison, also an issue, is currently going to the opponent after the 2-1 defeat in the first leg in Munich.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The guests from the state capital are one place behind the SVA.

So far they've scored four points less, but they've also played one game fewer.

The fact that FC Alte Haide still has realistic chances of staying up in the league is thanks to an energetic performance last weekend in the game at TSV Rohrbach: After 24 minutes, Bayern Munich were already 2-0 down before Roman Gertsmann turned the game around on his own.

The goalgetter (14 goals this season) was the celebrated hero in the 3-2 win.

Noah Staudt can become an important factor

“Alte Haide has quality, especially on offense with Roman Gertsmann and Christoph Traub.

The victory in Rohrbach was a surprise after this deficit," says SVA coach Summerer.

And further: "But we can hold up well against it."

The Palzingers are still missing Marcel Radlmaier and Benedikt Reiter, two important players, but Summerer is optimistic: "We'll get deals." Noah Staudt is someone from the offensive department who can make the difference with his dribbles.

"He can hardly train and is not at 100 percent, but he can do surprising things," says Summerer.

Staudt can become a factor in the important game against Alte Haide.
