The PSG coach does not even appear in the list of five contenders for the title of best L1 coach of the year! Kylian Mbappé, him,

The UNFP Trophies, which reward the best players, coaches or referees of the past season in L1 and L 2, will be awarded on Tuesday May 15.

The National Union of Professional Footballers has just revealed the nominees in each category, which ranges from the best hope of L 1 to the most illustrious blue-white-red representative outside the borders of France.

And for barely the second time in the history of the awards, the coach of the French champion team is not among the five contenders for the title of coach of the year!

No Mauricio Pochettino on the horizon to cross swords with Christophe Galtier (Nice), Bruno Genesio (Rennes), Antoine Kombouaré (Nantes), Jorge Sampaoli (OM) and Julien Stéphan (Strasbourg).

A nice disavowal for the Argentinian, under contract for another year in the capital, but who should pack his bags this summer after a more than mixed season.

For the rest, the PSG is present in all the categories where it may be concerned.

Starting with that of the best player in L 1, where Kylian Mbappé starts with a few lengths ahead of the quartet Wissam Ben Yedder (Monaco), Dimitri Payet (OM), Lucas Paqueta (Lyon) and Martin Terrier (Rennes).

Gianluigi Donnarumma, despite a delicate end to the season, applied for goalkeeping alongside Walter Benitez (Nice), Alban Lafont (Nantes), Pau Lopez (OM) and Matz Sels (Strasbourg).

Nuno Mendes is represented among the hopes but the fight will be difficult against Arnaud Kalimuendo (Lens), William Saliba (OM), Castello Lukeba (OL) and Khephren Thuram (Nice).

Among the girls, three Parisians (Diani, Geyoro and Katoto) will compete for the crown against Catarina Macario (OL) and Clara Matéo (Paris FC).

Regarding the French abroad, there will be one vote and five candidates but it is hard to see how the laurels could escape Karim Benzema, author of an extraordinary season with Real Madrid, recent Spanish champion and still in race in the semi-finals of the Champions League where he will receive Chelsea on the return leg (2-3 on the way).

The Madrid serial striker will be opposed to Ousmane Dembélé (Barça), Theo Hernandez (AC Milan), N'Golo Kanté (Chelsea) and Mike Maignan (AC Milan).
