World Championship: First victory for the Israeli team in wheelchair tennis Israel today

The team (Quad) defeated the England team 0: 2, after two wins in singles by Saadon Weinberg • In a degree of disability (easier), the Israeli team lost 2: 1 to France


The wheelchair tennis team in Quad (severely disabled), today (Tuesday) achieved its first victory at the World Tennis Championships in Portugal.

The team, which includes Shraga Weinberg from Ilan Spivak Ramat Gan, Yossi Saadon and Eli Hayut from the Tel Aviv Warrior House, and captain Nimrod Bichler, defeated the English team 0: 2, after two individual victories by Saadon Weinberg. 

In the degree of disability (easier), the Israeli team lost 2: 1 to France.

The Howen team consists of members Ilan Spivak Ramat Gan, Guy Sasson, Adam Berdyevsky and Sergei Lizov, with captain Ofer Sela.

Tomorrow, Remembrance Day, the quad team, which will take to the field with black ribbons on the shirts, will meet the Brazil team, with the Howen team having a day off.
