Real Madrid advanced to the Champions League final tonight (Wednesday).
The Blancos once again recorded a huge comeback as they came back from a 1-0 and 5-3 deficit in total.
Rodrigo scored twice in the final minutes (90 and 91) and forced extra time, where Karim Benzema squeezed a penalty and a penalty from the penalty spot (95) to arrange for Carlo Ancelotti a ticket to the final against Liverpool in Paris, on 28 May.

The numbers
* Rodrigo is the fourth player ever to score at least two goals in the 90th minute or more in one Champions League game.
It was preceded by Emile Forsberg (2019), Gareth Bale (2010) and Neilmar (2004).
Rodrigo is the first to make it by knockout.
* Karim Benzema is the second player to score 10 goals in a Champions League knockout in one season after Cristiano Ronaldo, who made it to Real Madrid in 2016/17.
Benzema has 43 goals in 43 appearances for the Blancos this season.
* The second goal Rodrigo scored was the 1,000th of a Brazilian player in the Champions League.
Brazil is the first to reach this milestone.

* Benzema in the last five Champions League games: three goals against Paris Saint-Germain, three goals against Chelsea, a goal against Chelsea, a double against Manchester City and a goal against Manchester City.
* After becoming the first coach to win a championship in any of the five major leagues in Europe, Carlo Ancelotti has become the first coach to reach the Champions League final five times.
* Real Madrid were 178 minutes behind in the semi-finals, and still advanced to the final.
