Bayernliga: VfB Hallbergmoos definitely wants to stay ahead of Wasserburg

Hallbergmoos

– Bayern league newcomers VfB Hallbergmoos still have 270 minutes plus stoppage time to complete this season in order to qualify for one of the three options in the relegation battle.

VfB can still be relegated directly to the state league with a bad series right up to the end.

Relegation is more likely at the moment, but direct relegation is still possible.

The home game against FC Deisenhofen (Friday, 7:30 p.m.) could play a crucial role in this.

After the lucky victory in Ingolstadt, which came about with a penalty kick at the last second, the Hallbergmoosers are again two points ahead of TSV Wasserburg, which is in the first relegation zone.

Wasserburg plays at home on Friday against the relegated TSV Schwabmünchen.

Everyone assumes a Wasserburg three, so VfB need at least one point to stay ahead of the Innstadt team.

In the direct duels, Wasserburg would be ahead, but the club canceled a game without the consent of the opponent because of Corona and therefore, according to the statutes, in all comparisons.

"Of course you have the Wasserburger game in the back of your mind," says VfB coach Matthias Strohmaier, "but we have to look at ourselves.

We want to win.”

That would mean that you could overtake TSV Dachau 65 at least overnight.

Schwabmünchen is making a guest appearance on the next matchday.

With a threesome against Deisenhofen, a series would be quite possible.

The coach is hoping for a courageous performance similar to that in Ingolstadt.

"Then we can also win this game, you have to see it that way," says Strohmaier clearly.

His team consists of dear, sometimes too polite players who now have to become fighters.

That was the case in Ingolstadt. Basically, there isn't much reason to change anything in the team.

It is only likely that after a weak game in the starting XI, Sandro Cazorla will be replaced by Kaan Aygün, who blew incredible counterattack chances.

Maybe he saved the goals for Deisenhofen.

In the second half, the hour could come for the long-injured Daniel Bauer.

He is probably the first offensive substitution option this time, if you listen to Strohmaier: "He has trained very well this week and knows exactly where the goal is."

Lineup:

Dinkel - Mömkes, Strohmaier, Giglberger - Kostorz, Beetz, Petschner, Sahin (Werner), Schmit - Aygün, Diranko.
