FC Bayern presents new jersey: "Looks like pajamas"

The Munich team will already put on their new shirt against VfB Stuttgart on Sunday, May 8th.

FC Bayern: Jersey reminds of 2007 to 2009 and 2017/2018

The new Bayern jersey has 21 horizontal stripes, the

spoke of a barcode design after the first leaks.

The jersey is in the classic Bayern red, the Telekom logo is highlighted with a thick border, as in the 2017/2018 season.

The stripe design is also reminiscent of that season, but back then there were four vertical white stripes on the jersey.

There is also a similarity to the Bayern jerseys between 2007 and 2009, when FC Bayern wore three wide white horizontal stripes.

FC Bayern describes the jersey as "a combination of classic and modern".

Supplier Adidas will do without the lettering in the future, but it is still included on the jersey for the 2022/2023 season.

The jersey is complemented with red shorts and red socks.

Against VfB Stuttgart, FC Bayern will also wear the "series champions' special badge on their chest," as the club announced.

New Bayern shirt: fans with mixed reactions

As usual, the new Bayern jersey is the subject of heated debate on the internet.

"Damn ugly.. Just saw the pic of Sané with the long sleeves, looks like pajamas," writes one user.
