Jerome Boateng is criticized by France expert David Fioux, allegedly the ex-Bayern star is not well received in his own team either.
Lyon – Jerome Boateng was considered a real leader at FC Bayern Munich, as someone who can inspire his middle players with his mentality.
In his ten years at Säbener Strasse, he won the German championship nine times, the DFB Cup five times and the Champions League twice.
In the summer of 2021, the 33-year-old moved to Olympique Lyon and triggered euphoria there.
This euphoria is long gone, Boateng is now one of the most criticized players in a much-criticized team.

renewed the criticism of Boateng, who was struggling with an infection of the shinbone around the turn of the year.

He can last a maximum of 60 minutes.

Fioux also sees the environment as a possible reason.
“The Boateng from Lyon no longer looks like the Boateng from Munich.
There he had super buddies like David Alaba, a coach who loved him like Hansi Flick and of course a level to match.
Life is much more difficult for him in Ligue 1," judges the editor-in-chief.
Jerome Boateng: Does he cause problems in the dressing room?
Peter Bosz, the former coach of Borussia Dortmund and Bayer 04 Leverkusen, took over at the former Olympique Lyon before the 21/22 season.
Under predecessor Rudi Garcia, the former permanent champion reached fourth place last year, in 2020 OL was in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
