China announced today the postponement of the "Hangzhou 2022" Asian Games, which was scheduled to be held next September, to an unspecified date.
The official CCTV channel quoted the Olympic Council of Asia as saying: "The nineteenth Asian Games, scheduled to be held in Hangzhou, from September 10-25, have been postponed, and the new date for the session will be announced later." .
Hangzhou was due to become China's third host of the Games, after Beijing in 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010.
And the Organizing Committee for the Asian Games 2022 revealed earlier this month that all 56 facilities designated for the Asian Games and the Asian Paralympic Games had ended.
