>>> UPDATE LIVE TICKER <<<

Update from May 5, 10:55 p.m .: Conclusion:

Bundesliga soccer club RB Leipzig missed the final of the Europa League.

The Saxons lost the semi-final second leg at Glasgow Rangers 1:3 (0:2) this Thursday and were eliminated despite the 1:0 win in the first leg a week ago.

James Tavernier (18), Glen Kamara (24) and John Lundstram (81) scored for the Scots, who are in a European final for the first time since 2008.

Christopher Nkunku (70th) scored the interim goal - but this should not be enough for an extension.

The final will take place in Seville on May 18th.

At least Leipzig still has a chance of winning the first title in the club's history.

In the final of the DFB Cup, RB meets Bundesliga competitor SC Freiburg on May 21 in Berlin.

Europa League: Glasgow Rangers vs. RB Leipzig in the live ticker – the Bundesliga club missed the final

90 minutes + 4: The game is over!

RB Leipzig fails at the Glasgow Rangers - the Scots are in the final against Eintracht Frankfurt.

90 minutes + 2: Glasgow defends the next attack away.

The Leipzig try it over the middle.

Just why?

90 minutes: Three minutes of added time.

90 minutes: Leipzig comes again.

The Saxons need the connection hit for an extension.

But that is not purposeful enough.

The bulwark stands, propelled by a frenetic audience.

86 minutes: Corner kick for RB Leipzig.

The ball hits the far post where Gvardiol climbs up.

But the ball doesn't even land on goal.

Is the dream of the Bundesliga club over?

82 minutes: Leipzig make a double change: Silva and Halstenberg come into play, Poulsen and Angelino go down.

Europa League: Glasgow Rangers against RB Leipzig in the live ticker – setback for the Bundesliga club

81 minutes: Goooooorrrrrrrr!!!

Glasgow Rangers 3-1 RB Leipzig, goalscorer: Lundstram.

Insanity!

Ibrox Stadium is upside down!

Kent gets through again on the left against Orban, who deflects his cross.

The ball sails towards the second post.

Gvardiol still clears on the line.

But his header lands directly at Lundstram, who pulls straight away.

Kampl just misses the ball, which goes into the far corner.

78 minutes: RB Leipzig is on the trigger, late, but at least.

The Bundesliga club is pushing for an equaliser.

Glasgow is with all men around their own goal.

75 minutes: Again Leipzig, which is now in the closing stages on the trigger.

A sharp ball from the right goes past two men in the storm.

Introduced by Szoboszlai, who brought in a breath of fresh air.

If the result stays the same, it will go into overtime.

If Leipzig scores 2-2, the Saxons are in the final in Seville.

Europa League: Glasgow Rangers against RB Leipzig in the live ticker – Nkunku scores to connect

70 minutes: Goooooorrrrrrrr!!!

Glasgow Rangers 2-1 RB Leipzig, scorer: Nkunku.

Out of nowhere!

Five euros in the phrase pig, it doesn't matter.

Nobody here expected this connection.

Angelino hits a cross as soft as butter and precisely in front of the six-yard space.

Nkunku crosses and eludes his captors.

The French attacker just puts his foot out and strokes the ball into the far corner.

68 minutes: Huge chance for Leipzig!

Suddenly Laimer is through in the middle.

The Austrian approaches McGregor, but fails in a one-on-one against the 40-year-old goalkeeper.

That would have been it...

66 minutes: A cross in front of the Rangers' six-yard box.

Nkunku extended, but there is no one there.

Goalkeeper McGregor has the ball safe, sure.

That's not enough from RB Leipzig.

Intense: Glasgow Rangers vs RB Leipzig.

Europa League: Glasgow Rangers against RB Leipzig in the live ticker – Szoboszlai comes for Olmo

62 minutes: Change at Leipzig:

Szoboszlai replaces the weak Olmo in attack.

With his team's poor performance, it's a late change by Tedesco.

61 minutes: weakly defended!

Gvardiol and Angelino can be duped on the left side of defence.

You have no access at all.

The shot then comes at least directly into Gulacsi's arms.

58 minutes: Glasgow make a change:

Arfield for Wright, Balogun for Jack.

58 minutes: Now RB Leipzig comes at least to the opposing sixteen.

But behind is a dark blue bulwark, supported by the whistles of the euphoric fans.

54 minutes: Another danger in the Leipzig penalty area.

After a cross from the left, Sakala prevailed in a duel against Poulsen.

But the ball goes meters wide next to the box.

RBL hardly defends itself.

And in this game.

50 minutes: Glasgow boldly plays forward after the break.

This is how the Scots keep Leipzig away from their goal.

48 minutes: No changes on either side.

Surprised.

At Leipzig one could have expected changes after this first half.

Nothing has come from Poulsen and Nkunku yet.

46 minutes: The second leg in the semi-finals continues!

Europa League: Glasgow Rangers against RB Leipzig in the live ticker – the Bundesliga team is behind at the break

45 minutes + 4: Break at Scotland's Ibrox Stadium!

Leipzig go into the dressing room from behind and need a goal for extra time.

45th minute + 2: Change at Glasgow:

Sakala is new for Aribo, who cannot continue.

Instead, he is brought into the cabin with support - to the applause of the fans.

45 minutes + 2: Aribo looks slightly dazed.

He is taken off the field with support and is obviously in a bad way.

Get well soon the player!

45 minutes: Aribo goes down after a free kick.

Leipzig's Angelino hits the midfielder with the full force of the shot in the head.

The referee immediately summons the officers and paramedics.

Europa League: Glasgow Rangers against RB Leipzig in the live ticker – Poulsen is not a factor

43 minutes: Poulsen is passed but immediately loses the ball again.

The Danish striker is not yet a factor at RB Leipzig.

Goalgetter Silva is still on the bench.

40 minutes: Aribo doesn't take the chance to pull away from 20 meters.

A cross from Wright goes into no man's land.

38 minutes: Orban heads in from a free kick.

This time, however, the RBL defender heads two meters past the post.

After all, a goal chance for the Bundesliga club.

37 minutes: Kampl clearly fouls.

The midfield strategist from Leipzig comes too late in the duel.

symbolic.

33 minutes: RB Leipzig is only in the back.

Nothing is currently coming from the Bundesliga club, which is otherwise so offensive.

The Saxons are literally pushed to their penalty area.

29 minutes: Huge chance for Glasgow!

Kent again has too much space down the left.

The flanks of Leipzig are wide open.

The Rangers cross comes to the far post, where the ball is put straight across.

But Aribo doesn't hit from a short distance because he doesn't hit the ball.

It can be 3-0, it has to be 3-0.

Europa League: Glasgow Rangers against RB Leipzig in the live ticker – double strike against the Bundesliga club

24 minutes: Goal!

Glasgow Rangers - RB Leipzig 2-0, scorer: Kamara.

Bitter!

Double strike by the Scots driven by an incredibly frenetic audience.

Aribo has way too much space on the right, won't be attacked.

He crosses the six-yard box where Wright puts the ball down.

Kamara flicks the ball from the second row into the long corner - wonderfully placed!

Now the Bundesliga club from Saxony is really under pressure.

18 minutes: Goal!

Glasgow Rangers - RB Leipzig 1-0, goalscorer: Tavernier.

Setback for Leipzig!

Kent refuels out of the turmoil through the left.

The striker moves quickly in the direction of the six-yard box and puts the ball sharply across the second post.

Captain Tavernier comes sprinting there and only has to hold out the inside.

16 minutes: Laimer simply runs away from Jack and plays for Poulsen – but behind the Dane.

Leipzig gets a second attempt - but Poulsen is called off because of a foul on the striker.

13 minutes: RB Leipzig is now high and plays a clear pressing.

Glasgow have trouble building the game.

10 minutes: Orban breaks away from his defender in a corner kick.

But his header goes well past the second post.

8 minutes: Treacherous ball from the right into the middle!

Henrichs clears, but does so in the backcourt.

Jack pulls from the distance, but RBL keeper Gulacsi is down and has the ball.

5 minutes: Dangerous counterattack from Leipzig!

Laimer puts Olmo in the middle.

But this example is too imprecise.

There was more in it for the guests from East Germany.

3 minutes: Glasgow starts very briskly and offensively under the cheers of their frenetic fans.

That's typical of Rangers at home.

Leipzig is in the back for now.

1 minute: It starts at Ibrox Stadium!

"All the players know what to expect here.

The fans are huge here.

We're looking forward to that," he said, and said of Glasgow Rangers: "They're a completely different team at home."

Poulsen is "a bit fresher than André," explains the Saxon coach, "because he's played a lot in the past few weeks.

That's the main reason."

But eventually.

That's why goals are always a good recipe," said the young coach.

Tedesco wants to use advances from the Scots, who were still very defensive in the first leg, to Leipzig's advantage: "Tomorrow we're hoping for more space.

If we have these, we are even more dangerous.”

Update from May 5, 8:05 p.m

.: Surprise in the line-up of RB Leipzig: Instead of the Portuguese Silva, the Dane Poulsen starts in the storm.

Hungarian attacker Szoboszlai is also on the bench for the time being, as is Swedish playmaker Forsberg.

So coach Tedesco could do a good job again.

Europa League: Glasgow Rangers against RB Leipzig in the live ticker – the second leg in the semifinals

First report from May 5th:

Munich/Glasgow – it's been 25 years since the last time a team from the Bundesliga won the Uefa Cup.

In 1997, the legendary FC Schalke "Eurofighters" led by Marc Wilmots won the pot.

Since then, German teams have not won once, neither in the Uefa Cup nor in the successor competition, the Europa League.

Since the renaming in 2009, there has not even been a Bundesliga team in the EL final.

This is exactly what RB Leipzig wants to change this Thursday evening (9 p.m.).

And: After beating Glasgow Rangers 1-0, the Saxons now have the best chances in the second leg of the semifinals.

Christopher Nkunku, who has 31 goals and 20 assists in 48 games, is said to be primarily responsible for reaching the final.

The 24-year-old Frenchman has put himself in the spotlight of Europe's top clubs through a stellar season and could do even better tonight at the venerable Ibrox Stadium.

Europa League: Glasgow Rangers – RB Leipzig in the live ticker – Christopher Nkunku in focus

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men want to prevent that.

The 47-year-old, a former Arsenal and Barcelona player, is the manager of Rangers, whom he led to new sporting glory after years of decline.

But: What does he want to say against the Leipzig Express football?

Speaking of Nkunku: Just about the game in Glasgow, the always well-informed French

L'Équipe

wrote that the striker wants to leave the Saxons after this season.

He wanted to develop further and look for a new club.

The French sports newspaper has brought up Manchester City, Chelsea FC, AC Milan, Newcastle United, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich as alleged interested parties.
