Hapoel Holon will go up tonight (Friday at 19:00) to the Champions League semi-final match against Tenerife when they know that beyond the prestigious title, a lot of money is at stake.
The winner - a million euros
The team that wins the final on Sunday and swings the trophy will rake in no less than a million euros, a large sum on any scale, certainly for a team the size of Holon that can increase its player budget by more than 50 percent next season.
Nice sums even for losers
The team that loses in the final and finishes in second place will put 400,000 euros into the bank account, and the team that finishes in third place will earn 200,000 euros.
Whoever finishes in fourth place will be left with 140,000 euros - which all four teams promised themselves in the promotion to the Final Four.
Player grants
The players themselves will also be affected by the position in which they will finish.
If Holon qualifies for the final game, its players will receive a total of 200,000 euros thanks to the bonuses stipulated in their contracts.
If they win - the players will rake 250,000 euros together.
It should be noted that the amounts include the grants and bonuses received by the players following the promotion to the quarterfinals and semifinals ($ 150,000).
