TSV Altenstadt is mathematically not quite secured in the district league 2.
Nevertheless, the team drives calmly to the away game against FT Jahn Landsberg.
Altenstadt – In theory, staying up in the league for TSV Altenstadt – currently nine points ahead of the relegation place with four games left – is not yet entirely certain.
In practice, nothing can really burn, because the competition in the table basement would then have to put down an unbelievable winning streak.
The FT Jahn Landsberg, where the men of player coach Christoph Schmitt are guests this Saturday (4 p.m.), is also one of these endangered teams.
"Landsberg is an unpleasant opponent who still needs a point or two to stay up," says Schmitt about the ninth-placed team, who is only two points ahead of the relegation place.
"That's why I'm expecting a very intense game," said Schmitt.
However, his team can play without pressure, with some players absent due to work, holidays or injury.
The Altenstadters will have to do without defender Jakob Reßl for a long time, who tore his Achilles tendon in the 4-0 win against Moorenweis.
"Nevertheless, we want the three points to consolidate our fifth place," says Schmitt, who won the home game against Landsberg 4-1 with his team.
The four duels before that all ended in a draw.
